The Shining EP – Nemesis & Yanyest

Back once again from the void, Namesis returns to Soma bringing along fellow traveller Yansyet for a blinding and inventive four track EP, The Shining. Never one to shy away from more obscure and bolder sonics, this coupling deliver another twisted and future-facing release of cyber enhanced, EMB tinged tracks.

Title track ‘The Shinning’ reaches into the abyss with dark and emotive synths drenched in pure attitude before the punishing beats & shattering rhythms of ‘I Mean’ glide against a backdrop of future sleaze synthetics and dark ominous vocals. The slower pace of ‘Glummy’ doesn’t detract from yet another twisted affair as more industrial elements course through its veins. ‘Sad’ closes out the EP pushing slashing, bussing synth stabs into the melodies as a burning 303 bass line causes tremors through its sub structure.
